2014 Go Camp in Osaka

Our friend and teacher from Japan, Aketa Katsuyuki, has sent the following message on behalf of Maeda Ryo 6p, which is about a three week Summer training camp in Osaka later this year:

Dear Go friends,
This is Maeda Ryo 6p of Kansai-Kiin Japan.

I have been attending the US Go congress for the past 13 years.

Since last year, we started to hold an annual Osaka Go camp in Japan.
There were 32 participants from 12 countries in 2013.

The Go camp in 2014 will be from June 29th to July 19th .
We have league games in the mornings and full teaching programs in the
afternoons by professional players every day. The teaching programs will
be in English.
On holidays, we will also organize some day trips to places like Osaka
city, Kyoto, Nara, and a two day trip to Hiroshima and Innoshima (Honinbo
Shusaku Igo Memorial Museum), see our website:

The 2014 Osaka Go camp is also mentioned in the AGA Go E-journal:

If you are interested, please introduce this event to your country of Go

I promise that everyone can improve quite a lot through the camp and
will have a lot of fun!

Looking forward to seeing you in Osaka!

Pity it overlaps with the WAGC – otherwise a potential SA rep might have had an extra incentive to attend…
