The World Students Go Oza is a championship in which 16 students chosen from various countries around the world compete. This includes one player from the Oceania-Africa zone. This championship is held not only to decide the world’s number one student player but also to promote exchange among Go-playing students around the world.
To select the representatives for each zone, preliminary championships are being held on the Internet (it seems the prelims will be held 1-10 December on IGS). This is to encourage a larger number of students to be involved in the competition.
Full details and entry forms for any students who wish to participate can be found at the tournament’s webpage.
