News from day 2 of the 30th WAGC is that Andrew lost his round three game to Antti Tormanen 5d of Finland, but won his round four game against Martin Benenati Michelena 3d of Uruguay. Currently Andrew is ranked 34th (compared to his initial seeding of 47).

His next game is against Jan Ramon 4d from Belgium.

    Other news from the rest of Africa: It seems the Malagasy representative is one of 4 players not at the tournament – I don’t know why she isn’t there.

    The Moroccan representative is Fouad Tehhani, who took part in the African Oza in 2006 as a 4-kyu. He is now a sho-dan, and has 1 victory out of 4 games (He beat the Armenian rep in his 4th game). We wish him the best of luck as well…
