Those following the 2008 World Oza probably noticed Yang Shi-hai in the lineup, without any news of Victor’s result as the African representative.
The news is that Victor was drawn to play the winner of the game between Yang Shi-hai 9p of Hong Kong, the rest-of-Asia representative, and Joanne Missingham 1p, the Oceanian teenager who passed the Chinese pro exam earlier this year. Yang defeated Joanne, and then Victor also lost.
Unfortunately, the spread of the news was delayed by Victor’s visit to China during the Olympic games, where security procedures restricted his email access.
