Yesterday night was the Stellenbosch club’s annual general meeting and prizegiving. Attendance was dismal, with only 5 people actually attending the meeting.
A change to the consitution was made unanimously, modifying the quorum for general meetings from 30% of the club membership to 5 people, so we just made quorum for the rest of the meeting.
The committee size was also reduced from 5 to 3. Steve Kroon, Florian Breuer and Andries Kruger stepped down from the committee, while Bernard Broens joined Jaco Swanepoel and Rory Beling to form the committee for 2006/2007.
Congratulations and good luck to the new committee for the coming year. For those wishing to liaise with the club, the new club president is Jaco Swanepoel.
