As a top 10 finisher in the “World of Korean Baduk” Quiz held by the Goama newsletter, I have won the chance to play in a 10-player simul game against the 1-dan Korean pro from Russia, Alexandre Dinerchtein. I’m totally excited about this – anyone who wants to come watch me get eaten for “breakfast” (his KGS nickname), can come watch me face him with 7 stones on Saturday, 3 June, at 5PM in the English Game Room (my KGS handle is thekro).
By the way, the weekly newsletter typically also includes a discussion of an unusual joseki variation (trick play), a link to the “most exciting game of the week”, and interviews with top pro’s.
