Cape Town Blitz Tournament

The Cape Town Go Club is hosting a Blitz Tournament!

Tuesday November 29, 2005 – 8pm

A Touch of Madness, Observatory

Free entry, open to members of the Cape Town club (note that it is quite straightforward to become a member of the club: indicate to one of the committe members that you wish to join, or simply register for the tournament and you will automatically become a member). Note that you must be ranked, i.e. have an official SAGC level in order for the handicapping to be effective.

12 minutes per side per game, with standard handicaps

    I would suggest 9 players can play with 4 clocks, as one would have to take a bye…

    Furthermore, will these games be rated? Didn’t find that info on the tournament page.

    I further suggest that you can have even more players, with only 8 players paired in each round

    But that involves having some people sitting around each round – but thats good for finding someone to arbitrate disputes 😉

    The emphasis is on enjoyment and participation, we hopefully won’t be bogged down with disputes. In this regard, a palm pilot has been sourced to serve as a 5th clock, allowing for 11 entrants!
