Aketa-sensei, the Japanese player who will be visiting South Africa next month, sent me some mail today, with some more background information on his activities the last few years, and two pictures (click on the pictures for larger versions):
Thank you for your mail.
I retired five years ago. After my retiring I have traveled for about four years in more than ten countries (including Mogolia for two years, America one year, Brazil half a year) to teach and spread Go as a volunteer. This time luckily I met Mr Chris Visser in Mongolia. I am very glad to be able to visit your country for the first time to play Go with South African Go players.
I send my picture in Mongolia (lecture in the Great Plains, 13×13 simultaneous).

I am looking forward to seeing you soon.
Aketa
