Everlasting Shame

I guess the losing side gets to post.

Gauteng got clobbered 8 to 5 in the Western Cape vs. Gauteng Internet Tournament, held last night.

We should do this again.

Do it again: what, get clobbered again? [grin]

Yes, we should, I look forward to it, and will train hard to attempt to reach a guaranteed place amongst the front lines next time…

Oh, and just for some more info until the full results are put up later, Gauteng won the top 4 games (as ranks dictates), Western Cape won more of the lower ranked games (again as ranks dictate). I believe there was one upset win for each side.

Well done WC looks like we made our point (a little 🙂 )

Not exactly sure what point that is, the summary paragraph on the results page feels like it really summarises the situation well:

“In summary, the results reflected the greater strength of Gauteng, but the greater depth of the pool of Western Cape players with internet access. All games went according to rank, except for 2 matches”

Games going according to rank, i.e. we were unable to prove we’re underranked, for example. Maybe we can consider “handi-3” or “handi-2” next time, instead of “handi-4”, to make upsets more likely? 😉
