The July 2005 Dobsonville Closed was held yesterday. Congratulations to the new Soweto champion, Julius Paulu (1d). Welile Gogotshe (1d) took second place, and third place went to Sipho Mampe 2k). Other medal winners were Ntsikelelo Kedijang (13k), performing best of the 19k-10k players, and Deane Ramon (22k) for the 30k-20k category.
Note that the Soweto club has plans underway for a new monthly tournament.
