Victor Chow has kindly provided us with a commentary of the first 60 moves of the game between Bernard Broens and Michael Wang played two weeks ago. I think it would be a fair summary to say that Victor’s opinion is that Black let White off easily in a number of positions, which is acceptable with a handicap, but being able to keep the pressure on is a key to improvement.
Also, a positive note for Bernard’s play is in Victor’s comment at the end of the game: “I feel the strength of the black player is definitely better than a normal 4-kyu elsewhere”.
